حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَائِ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ ابْنُ الْعَلَائِ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَنْ شَائَ لَاعَنْتُهُ لَأُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةُ النِّسَائِ الْقُصْرَی بَعْدَ الْأَرْبَعَةِ الْأَشْهُرِ وَعَشْرًا
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 2307
Narrated Abdullah ibn Masud: I can invoke the curse of Allah on anyone who wishes: The smaller surat an-Nisa (i. e. Surat at-Talaq) was revealed after the verse regarding the waiting period of four months and ten days had been revealed.
