حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ مَعِينٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَی الْمَعْنَی قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَأْذِنُنَا إِذَا کَانَ فِي يَوْمِ الْمَرْأَةِ مِنَّا بَعْدَمَا نَزَلَتْ تُرْجِي مَنْ تَشَائُ مِنْهُنَّ وَتُؤْوِي إِلَيْکَ مَنْ تَشَائُ قَالَتْ مَعَاذَةُ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا مَا کُنْتِ تَقُولِينَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ کُنْتُ أَقُولُ إِنْ کَانَ ذَلِکَ إِلَيَّ لَمْ أُوثِرْ أَحَدًا عَلَی نَفْسِي

سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 2136

Narrated Aishah: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to aske our permission on the day he had to stay with one of his wives (by turns) after the following Quranic verse was revealed: "You may distance those whom you like, and draw close to those whom you like" [33: 51]. The narrator Muadhah said: I said to her: What did you say to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? She said: I used to say: If had an option for that, I would not preferred anyone to myself.
