حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ مُعِينٍ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا قَزْعَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ الْمُهَاجِرِ الْمَکِّيِّ قَالَ سُئِلَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ الرَّجُلِ يَرَی الْبَيْتَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ مَا کُنْتُ أَرَی أَحَدًا يَفْعَلُ هَذَا إِلَّا الْيَهُودَ وَقَدْ حَجَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يَکُنْ يَفْعَلُهُ
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 1870
Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: was asked about a man who looks at the House (the Kabah) and raises his hands (for prayer). He replied: I did not find anyone doing this except the Jews. We performed hajj along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but he did not do so.
