أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَوَاءٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُرِيدَ عَلَى بِنْتِ حَمْزَةَ فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنْ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَإِنَّهُ يَحْرُمُ مِنْ الرَّضَاعِ مَا يَحْرُمُ مِنْ النَّسَبِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 3314
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the daughter of I-Iamzah was suggested to Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم (as a potential wife). He said: “She is the daughter of my brother through breast-feeding, and what becomes unlawful (for marriage) through breast-feeding is the same as that which becomes unlawful through lineage.” (Sahih).
