أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَی الصُّوفِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَی بْنُ طَهْمَانَ أَبُو بَکْرٍ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِکٍ يَقُولُ کَانَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ جَحْشٍ تَفْخَرُ عَلَی نِسَائِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْکَحَنِي مِنْ السَّمَائِ وَفِيهَا نَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْحِجَابِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 3260
Anas bin Malik said: Zainab bint Jalish used to boast to the other wives of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and say: “Allah married me to him from above the Heavens.” And the Verse of Hijab was revealed concerning her. (Sahih)
