سنن نسائی · Hadith 3077
It was narrated that ‘Abdur Rahman — meaning bin Yazid — said: “It was said to ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud, that some people were stoning the Jamrat from above Al ‘Aqabah.” He said: “So ‘Abdullah stoned it from the bottom of the valley, then he said: ‘From here — by the One beside Whom there is no other God — did the one to whom Surat Al-Baqarah was revealed, stone it.” (Sahih)
