أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ شَهِدْتُ عُمَرَ بِجَمْعٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ کَانُوا لَا يُفِيضُونَ حَتَّی تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ وَيَقُولُونَ أَشْرِقْ ثَبِيرُ وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَالَفَهُمْ ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 3054
It was narrated that ‘Amr bin Maimun said: “I heard him say: ‘I saw ‘Umar in Al-Muzdalifah and he said: The people of the JahiliJyah would not depart until the sun had risen, and they would say: Shine, ThabIr! The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم differed from them and departed before the sun had risen.” (Sahih)
