أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِکِ عَنْ عَطَائٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَدِمْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَرْبَعٍ مَضَيْنَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحِلُّوا وَاجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً فَضَاقَتْ بِذَلِکَ صُدُورُنَا وَکَبُرَ عَلَيْنَا فَبَلَغَ ذَلِکَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَحِلُّوا فَلَوْلَا الْهَدْيُ الَّذِي مَعِي لَفَعَلْتُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي تَفْعَلُونَ فَأَحْلَلْنَا حَتَّی وَطِئْنَا النِّسَائَ وَفَعَلْنَا مَا يَفْعَلُ الْحَلَالُ حَتَّی إِذَا کَانَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ وَجَعَلْنَا مَکَّةَ بِظَهْرٍ لَبَّيْنَا بِالْحَجِّ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 3001
It was narrated that Jabir said: “We came with the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم on the fourth day of Dhul-}:{ijjah. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘Exit I and make it ‘Umrah.’ We were distressed and upset by that. News of that reached the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and he said: ‘people, exit Ihram. Were it not for the HadI that I brought with me, I would have done what you are doing.’ So we exitied Ihram, and bad intercourse with our wives, and we did everything that the non Muirim does until the day of At Tarwiyah, when we put Makkah behind us (when we headed for Mina) and entered Ihram for Hajj.” (Hasan)
