أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْکِينٍ قِرَائَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ عَنْ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِکٌ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَکْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ أَخْبَرَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَلَمْ تَرَيْ أَنَّ قَوْمَکِ حِينَ بَنَوْا الْکَعْبَةَ اقْتَصَرُوا عَنْ قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا تَرُدُّهَا عَلَی قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام قَالَ لَوْلَا حِدْثَانُ قَوْمِکِ بِالْکُفْرِ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ لَئِنْ کَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ سَمِعَتْ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أُرَی تَرْکَ اسْتِلَامِ الرُّکْنَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ يَلِيَانِ الْحِجْرَ إِلَّا أَنَّ الْبَيْتَ لَمْ يُتَمَّمْ عَلَی قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2907
It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “Don’t you see that when your people (re)built the Ka’bah, they did not build it on all the foundations laid by lbrahim, peace he upon him?” I said: “Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم, why do you not rebuild it on the foundations of Ibrahim. peace be upon him?” He said: “Were it not for the fact that your people have recently left disbelief (I would have done so).” ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar said: “Aishah heard this from the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم for I see that he would not touch the two corners facing Al-Hijr because the House was not built on the foundations of Ibrahim, peace be upon him.”(Sahih)
