أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَائِشَةَ عَمَّا کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو قَالَتْ کَانَ يَقُولُ أَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَمِلْتُ وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا لَمْ أَعْمَلْ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 5540
It was narrated that Farwah bin Nawfal said: “I asked the Mother of the Believers ‘Aishah about what the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم used to say in his supplication. She said: ‘He used to say: (I seek refuge with You from the evil of what I have done and the evil of what I have not done yet.)” (Sahih)
