أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِکْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً عُذِّبَ حَتَّی يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ فِيهَا
سنن نسائی · Hadith 5374
It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘Whoever makes an image will be punished until (he is commanded) to breathe the soul into it, and he will not be able to so.” (Sahih)
