أَخْبَرَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَيَانٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ سَالِمًا أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَيْنَا رَجُلٌ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ مِنْ الْخُيَلَائِ خُسِفَ بِهِ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَی يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 5341
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “While a man was dragging his Izar out of pride, the earth swallowed him up, and he will continue sinking into it until the Day of Resurrection.” (Sahih)
