أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ مُوسَی الْبَلْخِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَقَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَی عَنْ عَطَائٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مِثْلَهُ کَانَ ثَمَنُ الْمِجَنِّ عَلَی عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقَوَّمُ عَشْرَةَ دَرَاهِمَ

A similar report was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas. The price of a shield at the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم was estimated to be ten Dirhams. (Hasan)
