أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَطَعَ أَبُو بَکْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فِي مِجَنٍّ قِيمَتُهُ خَمْسَةُ دَرَاهِمَ هَذَا الصَّوَابُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4927
It was narrated that Anas said: “Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, cut off (a thief s hand) for a shield that was worth five Dirhams. (Sahih) This is correct.
