أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ عَنْ مَالِکٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ أَنَّ أَبَانَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَنْکِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ وَلَا يُنْکِحُ

‘Uthman bin ‘Affan said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘The Muhrim should not get married, or propose marriage, or arrange a marriage for someone else.” (Sahih)
