أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُمْ کَانُوا إِذَا کَانُوا حَاضِرِينَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ بَعَثَ بِالْهَدْيِ فَمَنْ شَائَ أَحْرَمَ وَمَنْ شَائَ تَرَکَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2798
It was narrated from Jabir, that when they were present with the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم in Al Madinah, he sent the HadI, and whoever wanted to enter Ihram did so, and whoever did not want to, did not. (Sahih)
