أَخْبَرَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَی وَهُوَ ابْنُ يُونُسَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَکَمِ قَالَ کُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ عُثْمَانَ فَسَمِعَ عَلِيًّا يُلَبِّي بِعُمْرَةٍ وَحَجَّةٍ فَقَالَ أَلَمْ نَکُنْ نُنْهَی عَنْ هَذَا قَالَ بَلَی وَلَکِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُلَبِّي بِهِمَا جَمِيعًا فَلَمْ أَدَعْ قَوْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِقَوْلِکَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2728
It was narrated that Marwan bin Al-Hakam said: “I was sitting with ‘Uthman and he heard ‘Ali reciting the Talbiyah for “Umrah and Hajj (together). He said: ‘Were you not forbidden to do this?’ He said: ‘Yes, but I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم reciting the Talbiyah for them together, and I will not igore what the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said in favor of what you say.” (Sahih)
