أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَکَمُ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَعْمَلَ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ عَلَی الصَّدَقَةِ فَأَرَادَ أَبُو رَافِعٍ أَنْ يَتْبَعَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ لَا تَحِلُّ لَنَا وَإِنَّ مَوْلَی الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2618
It was narrated from Ibn Abi Rafi’, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم appointed a man from Banu Makhzum to collect Sadaqah. Abu Rafi’ wanted to go with him, but the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “The Sadaqah is not permissible for us, and the freed slave of a people is one of them.” (Sahih)
