أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تُلْحِفُوا فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ وَلَا يَسْأَلْنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْکُمْ شَيْئًا وَأَنَا لَهُ کَارِهٌ فَيُبَارَکَ لَهُ فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتُهُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2599
It was narrated from Muawiyah that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “Do not be demanding when asking. If one of you asks me for anything and I give it reluctantly, there will be no blessing in it.” (Sahih)
