أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بُجَيْدٍ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ بُجَيْدٍ وَکَانَتْ مِمَّنْ بَايَعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الْمِسْکِينَ لَيَقُومُ عَلَی بَابِي فَمَا أَجِدُ لَهُ شَيْئًا أُعْطِيهِ إِيَّاهُ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنْ لَمْ تَجِدِي شَيْئًا تُعْطِينَهُ إِيَّاهُ إِلَّا ظِلْفًا مُحْرَقًا فَادْفَعِيهِ إِلَيْهِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2580
It was narrated from ‘Abdur Rahman bin Bujaid that his grandmother Umm Bujaid — who was one of those who gave the oath of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم fu — said to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم h: “The poor man stands at my door, and I cannot find anything to give him.” The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said to her: “If you cannot find anything to give to him except a sheep’s burned foot, then give it to him.” (Sahih)
