حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ مَعِينٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أُخْبِرْتُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ وَهِيَ تَذْکُرُ شَأْنَ خَيْبَرَ کَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْعَثُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ رَوَاحَةَ إِلَی يَهُودَ فَيَخْرُصُ النَّخْلَ حِينَ يَطِيبُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُؤْکَلَ مِنْهُ
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 1606
Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: Describing the conquest of Khaybar Aishah said: The Prophet ﷺ used to send Abdullah ibn Rawahah to the Jews of Khaybar, and he would make an estimate of the palm trees when the fruit was in good condition before any of it was eaten.
