أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيَّ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ أَسْرُدُ الصَّوْمَ أَفَأَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ قَالَ صُمْ إِنْ شِئْتَ أَوْ أَفْطِرْ إِنْ شِئْتَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2390
It was narrated that ‘Umar said: “We were with the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم arid we passed by a man. They said: ‘Prophet of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم, this man has not broken his fast for such and such a time.’ He said: ‘He has neither fasted nor broken his fast.” (Sahih)
