أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَی قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا غَيْلَانُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مَعْبَدٍ الزِّمَّانِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ کُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَرَرْنَا بِرَجُلٍ فَقَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ هَذَا لَا يُفْطِرُ مُنْذُ کَذَا وَکَذَا فَقَالَ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2388
It was narrated from Mutarrif bin ‘Abdullah bin Ash Shikhkhir: “My father told me that he heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم say, when mention was made in presence of a man who fasted for the rest of his life: ‘He neither fasted nor broke his fast.” (Sahih)
