أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدٌ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَذُکِرَ عِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ يَصُومُ الدَّهْرَ قَالَ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2386
‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin Al ‘Aas said: “The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم heard that I was fasting continually,” and he quoted this Hadith. ‘Ata’ said: “I am not sure how he put it, but I think he said: ‘There is no fast for one who fasts continually.” (Sahih)
