حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَی بْنُ مُسَاوِرٍ عَنْ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَائٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَطَائٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ صَامَ الْأَبَدَ فَلَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ

It was narrated from Hunaidah bin Khalid that his wife said: “One of the wives of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘The Prophet used to fast on the day of ‘Ashura’, nine days of Dhul-Hajjah and three days each month: The first Monday of the month, and two Thursdays.” (Sahih)
