أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ تَوْبَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَکُنْ يَصُومُ مِنْ السَّنَةِ شَهْرًا تَامًّا إِلَّا شَعْبَانَ وَيَصِلُ بِهِ رَمَضَانَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2359
It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم used to fast until we said: ‘He will not break his fast.’ And he used not to fast until we said: ‘He will not fast.’ And I never saw the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم fast more in any month than in Sha’ban.” (Sahih)
