أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا بَکْرٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بُکَيْرٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَی سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَکْوَعِ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَکْوَعِ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ وَعَلَی الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْکِينٍ کَانَ مَنْ أَرَادَ مِنَّا أَنْ يُفْطِرَ وَيَفْتَدِيَ حَتَّی نَزَلَتْ الْآيَةُ الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا فَنَسَخَتْهَا
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2322
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم traveled and fasted until he reached ‘Usfan, then he called for a cup and drank during the day when the people could see him. Then he fast until he reached and he conquered Makkah during Ramadhan.'' Ibn ‘Abbas said: “And the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم fasted and broke his fast while traveling, so whoever wishes may fast, and whoever wishes may not fast.” (Sahih)
