أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفِرْيَابِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَی قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا نَحْوَهُ

سنن نسائی · Hadith 2265

It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم saw some people gathered around a man, so he asked (what Was happening) and they said: “It is a man who is exhausted because of fasting.” The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “It is not righteousness to fast When traveling.” (Sahih)
