أَخْبَرَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِهَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَسُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ سَمِعَا النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَکَ وَتَعَالَی بَاعَدَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ عَنْ النَّارِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2256
It was narrated from Abu Saeed that he heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم say: “There is no worshipper who fasts a day in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, but Allah the Mighty and Sublime, will separate his face from the Fire by (a distance of) seventy autumns in return for that day.” (Sahih)
