أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ أَکَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ الضُّحَی قَالَتْ لَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَجِيئَ مِنْ مَغِيبِهِ قُلْتُ هَلْ کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَهُ صَوْمٌ مَعْلُومٌ سِوَی رَمَضَانَ قَالَتْ وَاللَّهِ إِنْ صَامَ شَهْرًا مَعْلُومًا سِوَی رَمَضَانَ حَتَّی مَضَی لِوَجْهِهِ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ حَتَّی يَصُومَ مِنْهُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2191
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Shaqiq said: “I asked ‘Aishah about the fasting of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم.She said: ‘The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم : used to fast until we said that he is going to fast (continually), and he used not to fast until we said: He is not going to fast. And he did not fast for a whole month from the time he came to Al-Madinah, apart from Ramadan.” (Sahih)
