حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ ثَلَاثًا وَيَسْتَغْفِرَ ثَلَاثًا

سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 1524

Narrated Abdullah ibn Masud: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ liked to supplicate three times and to ask pardon (of Allah) three times.
