حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سِمَاکٌ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ کَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَصْدًا وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا يَقْرَأُ آيَاتٍ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ وَيُذَکِّرُ النَّاسَ

سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 1101

Jabir bin Samurah said: The prayer offered by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was moderate, and the sermon given by him was (also) moderate. He would recite a few verses from the Quran and exhort the people.
