حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ سِمَاکٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا فَمَنْ حَدَّثَکَ أَنَّهُ کَانَ يَخْطُبُ جَالِسًا فَقَدْ کَذَبَ فَقَالَ فَقَدْ وَاللَّهِ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ أَکْثَرَ مِنْ أَلْفَيْ صَلَاةٍ
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 1093
Jabir bin Samurah said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to deliver the sermon standing, then he would sit down, then stand and preach standing. If anyone tells you he preached sitting, he is lying. I swear by Allah that I offered along with more than two thousand prayers.
