حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَی بْنِ فَارِسٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ کَثِيرٍ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ وَعُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِهَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ قَالَ وَلَمْ يَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْ السَّهْوِ حَتَّی يَقَّنَهُ اللَّهُ ذَلِکَ

سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 1012

This tradition has also been transmitted by Abu Hurairah through a different chain of narrators. This version goes: he did not make two prostrations (at the end of prayer) due to forgetfulness until Allah gave him satisfaction about it.
