حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا کَهْمَسُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ أَکَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ السُّورَةَ فِي رَکْعَةٍ قَالَتْ الْمُفَصَّلَ قَالَ قُلْتُ فَکَانَ يُصَلِّي قَاعِدًا قَالَتْ حِينَ حَطَمَهُ النَّاسُ
سنن ابودوٗد · Hadith 956
Abdullah bin Shaqiq said: I asked Aishah whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited a whole Surah (of the Quran) in one Rak’ah of the prayer. She replied: (He recited from among) the Mufassal surahs. I asked: Did he pray (at night) sitting? She replied: (he prayed sitting) when the people made him old.
