أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ الْمُلَائِيِّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمِکْيَالُ عَلَی مِکْيَالِ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَالْوَزْنُ عَلَی وَزْنِ أَهْلِ مَکَّةَ وَاللَّفْظُ لِإِسْحَقَ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4609
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘Volume is to be measured according to the system of the people of Al-Madinah, and Weight is to be measured according to the system of the people of Makkah.” (Sahih) This is the wording of Isliaq (one of the narrators).
