أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْکِينٍ قِرَائَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ عَنْ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِکٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ بْنِ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَعْمَلَ رَجُلًا عَلَی خَيْبَرَ فَجَائَ بِتَمْرٍ جَنِيبٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَکُلُّ تَمْرِ خَيْبَرَ هَکَذَا قَالَ لَا وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا لَنَأْخُذُ الصَّاعَ مِنْ هَذَا بِصَاعَيْنِ وَالصَّاعَيْنِ بِالثَّلَاثِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَفْعَلْ بِعْ الْجَمْعَ بِالدَّرَاهِمِ ثُمَّ ابْتَعْ بِالدَّرَاهِمِ جَنِيبًا
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4568
It was narrated from Abu Saeed Al-Khudri and Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم appointed a man in charge of Khaibar and he brought some JanIb dates. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “Are all the dates of Khaibar like this?” He said: “No, (by Allah, Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ) We take a Sa’ of these for two for three Sa’s (of other types of dates).” The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “Do not do that. Sell the mixed dates for Dirhams then buy the JanIb dates with the Dirhams.” (Sahih)
