أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَی عَنْ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَی عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّی يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ وَرَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا أَنْ تُبَاعَ بِخِرْصِهَا يَأْکُلُهَا أَهْلُهَا رُطَبًا
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4557
It was narrated from Sahl bin Abi Hathamah that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم forbade selling fruits before their condition was known, but he granted a concession allowing ‘Arayasales by estimate, So its people could eat fresh dates. (Sahih).
