سنن نسائی · Hadith 4439
It was narrated that Abu ‘Ubaid — the freed slave of Ibn ‘Awf — said: “I saw ‘Ali bin Abi Talib — may Allah honor his face —on the day of ‘fd. He started with the prayer before the Khutbah, then he prayed with no Adhan and no Iqamah. Then he said: ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم forbidding anyone from keeping anything of his sacrificial animal for more than three days.”(Sahih).
