أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ أَنَّهُ أَصَابَ أَرْنَبَيْنِ وَلَمْ يَجِدْ حَدِيدَةً يَذْبَحُهُمَا بِهِ فَذَکَّاهُمَا بِمَرْوَةٍ فَأَتَی النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي اصْطَدْتُ أَرْنَبَيْنِ فَلَمْ أَجِدْ حَدِيدَةً أُذَکِّيهِمَا بِهِ فَذَکَّيْتُهُمَا بِمَرْوَةٍ أَفَآکُلُ قَالَ کُلْ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4414
It was narrated from Muhammad bin Safwan that he caught two rabbits and he could not find a knife with which to slaughter them, so he slaughtered them with Marwah. Then he came to the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and said: “Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم! I caught two rabbits but I could not find a knife with which to slaughter them, so I slaughtered them with Marwah; can I eat them?” He said: “Eat (them).” (Hasan)
