أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی عَنْ يَحْيَی عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِکِ عَنْ عَطَائٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ کُنَّا نَتَمَتَّعُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَذْبَحُ الْبَقَرَةَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ وَنَشْتَرِکُ فِيهَا
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4408
It was narrated that Jabir said: “We would make Tamattu’ when the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم was with us, and we would sacrifice a cow on behalf of seven people, sharing it among ourselves.” (Sahih)
