أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النُّفَيْلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عِيسَی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحَرَ يَوْمَ الْأَضْحَی بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ وَقَدْ کَانَ إِذَا لَمْ يَنْحَرْ يَذْبَحُ بِالْمُصَلَّی
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4382
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم offered the sacrifice on the Day of Sacrifice in Al-Madinah. He said: “If he did not offer the Nahr (sacrifice a camel) he would have offered Dhabihah (sacrificed a sheep) at the prayer place.” (Hasan)
