أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ هُوَ ابْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ أَکَلْنَا يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ لُحُومَ الْخَيْلِ وَالْوَحْشِ وَنَهَانَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْحِمَارِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4358
It was narrated that Jabir said: ‘On the Day of Khaibar we ate the flesh of horses, and unagcrs, hut the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم forbade us (from eating) donkeys.” (Sahih).
