أَخْبَرَنَا کَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ السَّبَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي مَيْمُونَةُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام لَکِنَّا لَا نَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ کَلْبٌ وَلَا صُورَةٌ فَأَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَأَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْکِلَابِ حَتَّی إِنَّهُ لَيَأْمُرُ بِقَتْلِ الْکَلْبِ الصَّغِيرِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4291
It was narrated that Az Zuhri said: “Ibn As-Sabbaq said: “Maimunah told me that Jibril, peace be upon him, said to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم : ‘We (Angels) do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture.’ The next day the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم commanded that all dogs be killed, even small dogs.” (Sahih)
