أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ الْحَکَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَی عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُکَيْمٍ قَالَ کَتَبَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ لَا تَسْتَمْتِعُوا مِنْ الْمَيْتَةِ بِإِهَابٍ وَلَا عَصَبٍ

It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin ‘Ukaim said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم wrote to us: ‘Do not make use of the skins and sinew of dead animals.” (Hasan)
