أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ أَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَيْعَةَ عَلَی أَنْ لَا نَنُوحَ

It was narrated that Umm ‘Attiyyah said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم accepted our pledge that we would not wail (for the dead).” (Sahih)
