أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَطِيَّةَ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَمَسْرُوقٌ عَلَی عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَ لَهَا مَسْرُوقٌ رَجُلَانِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کِلَاهُمَا لَا يَأْلُو عَنْ الْخَيْرِ أَحَدُهُمَا يُؤَخِّرُ الصَّلَاةَ وَالْفِطْرَ وَالْآخَرُ يُعَجِّلُ الصَّلَاةَ وَالْفِطْرَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ أَيُّهُمَا الَّذِي يُعَجِّلُ الصَّلَاةَ وَالْفِطْرَ قَالَ مَسْرُوقٌ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ هَکَذَا کَانَ يَصْنَعُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

سنن نسائی · Hadith 2166

It was narrated that Abu ‘Atiyyah said: “I said to ‘Aishah: ‘Among us there are two of the Companions of the Prophetصلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم, One of whom hastens Iftar and delays Saht and the other delays Iftar and hastens SahIir.’ She said: ‘Which of them is the one who hastens Iftar and delays Sa I Said: “Abdullah bin Mas’ud.’ She Said: ‘That is what the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم used to do.” (Sahih)
