أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ قَزَعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا دَاوُدُ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَصَلَّی عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ مِنْ الْأَجْرِ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهَا فَصَلَّی عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَعَدَ حَتَّی يُفْرَغَ مِنْ دَفْنِهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ مِنْ الْأَجْرِ کُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا أَعْظَمُ مِنْ أُحُدٍ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 2003
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘Whoever follows a funeral and offers the funeral prayer then leaves, will have one Qirat of reward. And whoever follows it and offers the funeral prayer then stays until the burial is completed will have two QIraof reward, both of which are greater than Uhud.” (Sahih)
