أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زِيَادَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَنَّهُ ذَکَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الرَّاکِبُ خَلْفَ الْجَنَازَةِ وَالْمَاشِي حَيْثُ شَائَ مِنْهَا وَالطِّفْلُ يُصَلَّی عَلَيْهِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1954
It was narrated from Al- Mughira bin Shu’bah that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “The rider should move behind the Janazah and the pedestrain may walk wherever he wishes, and the (funeral) prayer should be offered for a child.” (Hasan)
