أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَکْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِکٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتْبَعُ الْمَيِّتَ ثَلَاثَةٌ أَهْلُهُ وَمَالُهُ وَعَمَلُهُ فَيَرْجِعُ اثْنَانِ أَهْلُهُ وَمَالُهُ وَيَبْقَی وَاحِدٌ عَمَلُهُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1943
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Abi Bakr said: “I heard Anas bin Malik say: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘The dead person is followed by three: His family, his wealth and his deeds. Then two of them come back: His family and his wealth, and there remain only his deeds.” (Sahih)
